(This section gets updated far less frequently than the others, but as time goes on I will try to add more and more links!)

• OneWorld.net is an excellent site that brings together so many global issues under one umbrella. I came across the site in 1996/1997 as a great source of information. In August 1999, I was honored to become a OneWorld.net partner. It is a global network of over 1200 organizations working in human rights and sustainable development. This website provides comprehensive daily coverage of global issues and a platform for civil society worldwide.
• The Institute for Economic Democracy has some excellent research and in-depth analysis into the causes of the current disparities between the developing nations and the developed nations. This is a must check out site!
• ZNet is, as they mention, a “community of people concerned about social change and eager to learn from, enjoy, and work with one another.” They have a lot of information on all aspects of the social culture today. Lots of articles, discussions and numerous contributions by various prominent people.
• Inter Press Service (or IPS) is a really good news source. Unlike many “global” news outlets that seem to only report on world stories if those stories affect them, IPS comes over as a much more global news source that covers global issues from a variety of perspectives.
• Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR) is an excellent source of information about how the mainstream media (mainly US) covers important issues of the day.
• The Media Channel, is a collaboration of GlobalVision New Media and OneWorld on-line. Described as the world’s first global media supersite, the Media Channel looks into the problems of journalism in the mainstream and continued state repression of journalism in many nations.
• The Transnational Foundation for Peace and Future Research is an excellent site bringing forth alternative views on how current situations around the world could be handled.
• Institute for Public Accuracy is equally as good as FAIR.
• Democracy Now, a radio show presented by the excellent, many awards-wining journalist, Amy Goodman. You can browse a democracy now archive of all past radio shows. Her show covers many topics and issues that most mainstream media barely touches on, or has a very different slant to.
• Le Monde Diplomatique from France contains many articles and analysis into issues around the world that are not often discussed in detail by other mainstream media outlets.
• From the mainstream media, the Guardian comes over as one of the better news services that I have seen compared to other major news corporations.
• Down To Earth Magazine is from CSE, the Centre for Science and Environment. As their name suggests, publish a lot of work on science and the environment. They especially highlight problems from a developing or third world perspective.
• New Internationalist Magazine covers a variety of global issues.
• The United Nations, of course is full of information regarding international issues.
• Better World Links has over 30,000 links to other web sites on a vast range of global issues.
• New Scientist is a vast science and technology web site.
• The National Security Archives is an independent non-governmental research institute and library located at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. The Archive collects and publishes declassified documents acquired through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
• The Panos Institute web site has a lot of information.
• The Third World Network is, in their own words, “an independent non-profit international network of organizations and individuals involved in issues relating to development, the Third World and North-South issues.” They have in-depth sections on trade, globalization, economics, development, human rights and so on, from a developing nation perspective.
• The Study of Global Problems and the Culture of Capitalism web site, by Richard H. Robbins of New York State University provides a vast source of readings and research on a number of topics.
• Old Dog Documentaries provides documentaries and accompanying material on a wide variety of issues.

• Big Picture TV is an award-winning resource providing video clips of interviews with numerous people on a variety of global issues.
