SECURITY COUNCIL LIVE: Ambassadors to vote on new ceasefire resolution
After weeks of negotiations, the Council’s ten elected members have initiated a new draft resolution on Gaza as the humanitarian crisis deepens by the day. It calls for an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire, the unconditional release of hostages held by Hamas and others and the immediate lifting of all aid restrictions.
